Heathfield Caravan Park - Wednesday 28 May 2014

This week we began preparing for this year’s Walling Heritage Day on 11 June which we run on behalf of the AONB.  We already have 8 ‘students’ booked and  there will probably be more by the time the event comes around.

Andrew Harker the owner of Heathfield Caravan Park had kindly agreed to allow access to a wall on his site. The task is to take down a stretch and subsequently rebuild it so that on 11 June  we have one piece at foundation level, a second at first raise and a third close to finishing.  This will give the ‘students’  the opportunity to have hands on experience at all levels of building a wall.

The team this week on a very wet day was Catriona, Chris, Roderick, Roger, Paul and Tony.

The stripping out commences
